Making mistakes is part of learning; Mistakes help us gain knowledge.

Updated: Apr 4, 2022

Afraid of making mistakes because of what other people might think or say? Don’t worry, I got you!

Believing that perfection is possible sets everyone up for failure. The fact is that making errors is a gift because it allows you to learn, grow, and become stronger and more resilient over time. We can learn a lot from our errors, and all it takes is a willingness to learn from them. Each error we encounter teaches us what works and what doesn't. We miss out on innumerable opportunities to gather vital knowledge and learn lessons if we don't make errors.

Here’s something you need to do!

Keep in mind that there is nothing wrong with making mistakes. Instead of thinking negatively, consider the lessons you'll learn as a result of your error. Trust yourself, not only yourself but also the process you're going through.

Let me share with you my experience…

I had a lot of wrongdoings as a person, which I had learned previously. I used to be afraid of making errors, and that has caused me to doubt a lot of things. When the world doesn't cooperate with my life, I always ask God what I did wrong to deserve all of the difficulties I've faced. But, more than anything, I am frightened of making errors as a student. I'm terrified of the people around me's disappointments. I'm worried about what they'll think or say about me. Because I am capable of doing well at times but am not always. Now, as a person, I am no longer frightened of making errors. Because I have this mentality that the more errors I make, the more I learn. It's no longer gloomy after I made a mistake; instead, after some time of reflecting on what I did and understanding it, I realize that I've acquired knowledge again. However, as a student, I am still terrified of making mistakes, which I must overcome.

Here's a quote for you to remember!

“The most valuable thing you can make is a mistake – you can’t learn anything from being perfect.” -Adam Osborne

Here's something you need to know!

Atelophobia is an intense dread of flaws. A person suffering from this syndrome is scared of making mistakes. They prefer to avoid situations in which they believe they will fail. Anxiety, despair, and low self-esteem can all result from atelophobia.
